Wonder Kids is a series of virtual talks on the fascinating world of child development, hosted each month.
Led by the members of the Early Development Research Group – some of the world’s leading developmental psychologists and researchers – we invite you to join the conversation on language, learning and social development!

This Fall’s series, Ask A Developmental Psychologist, will feature Q&A sessions with the directors of the EDRG. Have you ever wondered why babies behave in certain ways or how children develop essential skills? Perhaps, you’ve just been curious about what certain psychological concepts mean? This is your chance to ask some of the world’s leading experts in the field!

Join us each month with your burning questions, or just listen in on what others have to say. Either way, we can’t wait to see you at our next Wonder Kids talk!

Dr. Susan Birch, Associate Professor

What children know about the mind

Children learn so much from their interactions with people. Just like adults, they are able to use cues in their environment to make judgements about people, what they know and whether they are trustworthy. This in turn influences their overall learning and decision-making abilities. In this Q&A session, Dr. Birch from the K.I.D. Studies Centre will be answering all your questions on what young children know about the mind.
